A man from Lincoln County - in Kansas has luckily been able to get his $1,000,000 lottery prize back after a clerk at a gas station went out of his way to get the ticket back to its original owner. The winner, who has opted to remain anonymous explained how he was in a rush on his way to watch a NCAA tournament when him and his brother chose to stop for gas at a station located in Salina. “My brother went in to check my tickets. He apparently dropped the unsigned Mega Millions ticket, and then we left to go back home”. What a close call these set of events were, lucky for the winner – the clerk immediately called up the store owner as soon as he’d realized what had happened to check if they would be able to locate the winner and return the ticket to him. The store owner sent his son in, who aided them in travelling to find the winner – and conveniently, the winner and his brother were out on another errand when the owner’s son got them to pull over. The retailer will also be receiving a $1,000 financial incentive just for selling the winning ticket!

William Woolsey, from Kane in Illinois has found out that he is the sole winner of a $550,000 Lottery prize out of the blue! Woolsey, purchased his Quick Pick Illinois Lottery ticket from Circle K, which is located on 13 S. Stanley Road in Cottage Hills and soon found out that the Lucky Day Lotto ticket matched up all 5 numbers, which were: 8, 11, 18, 24 and 31. A great win for Woolsey, who has now made plans to purchase a home as well as investing the rest. The retailer will also receive a $5,500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

John Scroggs, and his husband Paul Robles are feeling super lucky after landing a lottery prize with the Powerball Lottery worth $307,406 – this is the return on matching five out of six lottery numbers. Scroggs, 47 bought the ticket, which was a Quick Pick from a CVS store which is located at 2151 on Meeker Avenue in Richmond – and came to find that this lucky ticket matched the numbers of: 36, 6, 19, 13 and 51 just shy of the red Powerball number 18. He checked the ticket at a Check-A-Ticket machine and recalled how he stood there motionless in reaction to the prize money amount, “I immediately went kind of pale, I thought, this is not real” he recalled.
