Don DeSaer, from New Ulm has found that the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle ticket has stayed true to its name after winning the top prize in the game. DeSaer ended up with the winning ticket, after it just so happened that his daughter – Amber DeSaer decided to buy a lottery ticket for him (her Dad) as well as for herself from Casey’s General Store which is located at 314 20th St. S. in New Ulm. When scratching the tickets, Amber says that she realized that her Dad’s ticket was only 2 numbers away from hers so once she’d heard that there was a winning ticket sold at Casey’s – she knew it had to be his, “I knew he had it” she recalls. “I wasn’t going to keep it myself” Don explains, however his daughter refused to accept the ticket so the solution they finally came up with, was splitting the $1,000,000 prize amongst all 6 family members.

Charles Leath, from Roseville was only looking to pick up some gas when this short-trip lead to him picking up a $5,000,000 lottery ticket too! Leath, had an appointment that he had to attend, however on the way he thought it would be a good idea to fill the car up as he knew he would be working later for a ride-sharing service and wanted to be prepared. The gas station that he stopped at was the Arco am/pm which is located at 2998 Foothill Boulevard, going inside to pay for the gas he saw a new Scratchers game which was the “Hit it Big ticket” and decided it was worth a shot. As he now realizes, the rest really turned to history as now he has so many more opportunities available at his disposal such as travelling. 

Edward Fedenrinko, from Indianapolis almost didn’t cash in on a $60,000 lottery prize as he didn’t think it was his – cashing in just 3 days before the ticket was due to expire! Fedenrinko’s ticket was purchased back in June 6th, 2017 – with his CA$H 5 ticket matching all of the five numbers needed to win, giving him 180 days to claim the winnings, however when he saw a sign outside the shop where he purchases his lottery tickets saying that a winning CA$H 5 ticket had been sold there, he just didn’t think it could be his. Luckily, just a week before it would have expired he went on to claim the $60,000 prise from the Hoosier Lottery Headquarters which are located in Indianapolis. .

Armando Perez, from Inland Empire has always been buying lottery ticket’s as a way of calming down after work but when he came to realize that he’d won a $1,000,000 prize – it’s doubtful that he was able to relax at all! Perez, says his mind is often “going 100 miles per hour” when he finally comes home after a long day so his way of finding some peace within himself is popping down to the supermarket after walking his dog to buy a few things as well as a few California Scratchers tickets. But we won’t go crazy. We have no plans to move to the moon”, “I play Euro Millions regularly and I checked my ticket as normal in a shop the morning after the draw,” he continued, “A message came up to contact the National Lottery. I knew then we had won. I was dizzy”. 

Shane Missler, a 20-year-old from Florida may not be of the legal age to drink yet, however he is old enough to win the latest Mega Millions jackpot worth a staggering $451,000,000. Missler, originally purchased his ticket from a 7-Eleven which is located at 7131 Ridge Rd. in Port Richey which is in close vicinity of Pasco County. When finding out that he’d won, he says that he wasn’t too surprised as he had a feeling that he might – he found out that he had matched up all the winning numbers on the draw which were: 28, 30, 39, 59, 70 as well as the Mega Ball number 10! Following this, he called up his brother immediately and also posted on Facebook saying “Oh. My. God” revealing astonishment – soon after catching up with his father to let him know of the good news over coffee.
