Stanley Shelby, from Salem in Massachusetts did not expect to win $20,000 or even realise that was the amount he’d won for quite a while. Shelby, originally purchased a $5 Fireball 7s ticket in Rolla, to find he’d won a $40 prize – so, he decided to use that money to buy another one of those tickets from Casey’s general store which is located at 201 S. Main Street in Salem as he was in the area for business. The second ticket he bought, he found showed 5X $1,000 whilst the other number 7: showed $5,000 – although he’d actually got this misconstrued and his prize was worth double that, $20,000! The couple said they will be using the prize money to pay off bills, and to buy another car. For this couple, taking a risk on buying another ticket was certainly worth it.

A man from Sydney, Australia, recently found out that he was the sole winner of an AU $3.5 million, (US $2.5 million) prize, however he disclosed that he already knew this was going to happen as he had a premonition in a dream. The lucky man, who has opted to remain anonymous described how he bought the 2-SET entry ticket from the Wareemba News agency which is located at 276 Great North Road in Wareeemba, and prior to this, a few weeks back he said that he had a dream where he won with Set for life. Shortly after, he was on the beach with his wife when he suddenly grabbed her and said “We are about to win something, you just wait” and win they did! They won a huge prize, and opted for monthly pay-outs of $20,000 a month for 20 years over the lump-sum pay-out. 

Dani Krutsinger, 29, from Chariton in Lucas County bought a different lottery ticket to the one she usually buys and ended up winning $50,000! Krutsinger, bought a pair of the new Extreme Cash Blast scratch-off tickets from Casey’s which is located at 1421 Court Ave in Chariton after her favourite game was sold out and unexpectedly, she won the top prize in the game. Barry Ritter, from Charlotte couldn’t be happier after finding out his Cash 5 ticket was valued at $121,323.

Ritter, works at Harris Teeter part-time, and stopped nearby to buy himself a beer and a Powerball ticket from Circle K which is located at Christenbury Parkway in Concord. Whilst in the line of the store, something swayed him to play Cash 5, which isn’t a game he usually plays, but purchased it regardless before leaving it in his car and forgetting about it. Following on, a few days after he remembered it and used his phone to scan the ticket but it wasn’t till he had a look on the website that he saw that he had matched 5 numbers and was shocked. 

Anissa Dellaripa, 22, from South Windsor in Connecticut has just started her graduation life with a $2,000 a month head-start after being gifted a lottery ticket by her Dad. Dellaripa was given the $1 Win for Life Ticket from the Connecticut Lottery and told to scratch it as her Dad handed it over, she explained that he regularly buys her lottery tickets but this time was a reward for all the work she’d put in. She scratched off the ticket, and saw the “WIN FOR LIFE” symbol, at first thinking her dad must have been pranking her because there’s no way it was real! But it was, and she was given the option of either receiving a lump sum of $400,000 or the $2,000 a month for life. 

A lottery pool 11 of people who work together, or previously worked at the Northern Valley Indian Health have come forward to claim a Powerball ticket worth $4,900,000. Cuellar said she sees a glimmer of hope every time she walks past someone with an unscratched lottery ticket as there is always that chance that they have won. This time the ticket was bought by Montoya from Duke’s Cork N Bottle Shop, located at 2360 Esplanade in Chico, they discovered the next day that the ticket matched all the numbers of: 5, 38, 22, 58 and 32 – which were originally randomly generated, but they continued to use those numbers from that period forward. 

Patricia, and Frank Raffa can’t believe the chance they’ve been given to rebuild their lives after finding out they’ve won $325,000 with the North Carolina lottery. Raffa purchased a $1 Cash 5 ticket from the Energy Mart store which is located on long Shoals Road in Arden, and explained how the couple have always used their own numbers over Quick Pick, two of the numbers were 3 and 17 which relates to Patricia’s birthday who was born on St. Patrick’s Day – and you know what they say about the luck of the Irish! First checking the ticket over a coffee, they didn’t realise they’d won – they saw that someone had hit the jackpot, and Frank thought whoever it was, was very lucky, and then it dawned on him that it was them who won! 

Ralph Irby, from Chesapeake in Virginia state was at home, tending to his bad foot when he decided to scratch off the Super Crossword ticket that he had bought from a 7-Eleven located at 1268 Cedar Road. To his surprise, he saw that he had won the top prize of $100,000 and immediately began dancing on one foot – the good foot obviously! Also, Kristen Fritschie, from Hallsville says she plays the lottery every so often as she usually receives tickets as gifts on occasions like her birthday or for Christmas.
