Following the decision to join MUSL in July of 2008, Florida Lottery finally added POWERBALL to the portfolio of games on Wednesday, the 7th of January, 2009. Since Florida joined Powerball Lottery the base prize was increased from 15 to 20 million dollars and Powerball drawings were transferred from Screenscape Studios in Urbandale, Iowa, to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
