$207,000,000 Mega Millions Jackpot Claimed

14 Mega Millions WinnersFourteen employees of the City of Piqua, Ohio, and one relative of a city worker, purchased their winning ticket, a $5 wager using the Lottery’s auto-pick feature, at a Kroger store in Piqua. On Friday, December 12, the ticket won them $207 million Mega Millions jackpot .

The 15 players came to the Dayton regional office of the Ohio Lottery on Wednesday morning to finalize their claim. The winners opted for the cash option; after tax withholdings, 14 winners will each receive a cheque for approximately $6,300,000.  One winner, who purchased two shares of the winning ticket, will receive a cheque for approximately $12,600,000.
 
Following the morning claim, the group participated in a press conference Wednesday afternoon in Piqua.

Retailer will receive a $100,000 agent sales bonus for selling the winning ticket.
 
This is Ohio’s third Mega Millions jackpot win of the year and Ohio’s third largest Mega Millions jackpot win since joining the game in 2002.
