Steven Repp, from West Frankfort is sure going to enjoy retirement a lot more now that he’s won a whole $2,000,000 with the Illinois Lottery! Repp, a retired Navy veteran purchased his 100X ticket for $20 from Circle K, which is located at 1300 W. Mains Street in West Frankfort and was having a good old chat with the employees and forgot all about the ticket he hadn’t yet scratched. He explained that he always checks for a matching number first before he bothers scratching the prizes, and on this occasion, he saw that he had the number 11. Instantly, he called up his wife and told her that he was having a heart attack so she needed to come save him. When he showed her the ticket, she was ecstatic even though initially she thought it was a $200,000 prize, little did she know it was 10 times that amount... When she realised, she was in shock and they said it didn’t sink in until they claimed their prize at lottery headquarters. They plan to use the money to pay off the mortgage on their home, and go on a cruise. The retailer will also receive $20,000 as a financial incentive just for selling the winning ticket.
