A man, from Australia who has opted to keep his identity anonymous disclosed how he had a winning lottery ticket worth $1,500,000 in front of him for five weeks without realising. The man, who is from The Katherine, Northern Territory explained how he had purchased a 50-game Quick Pick with the TattsLotto from Katherine Exposure Photographics and placed the ticket on his fridge – without scratching it off. He said that he heard someone had won in his town however he didn't even think of the possibility that it could be him. It was around five weeks later, when he finally took the ticket off the fridge to check the numbers and found that he'd matched up all of them which were: 34, 28, 22, 42 and 45 after having a look at the online results. "I only realized how much the prize was today – I wasn't sure if that prize was shared or whether I got that full amount" he said, the prize did end up being split two ways with one other person. The man says the money will go towards things he needs as well as creating a provision for the future. And still, he vows to continue playing the TattLotto as there is always another chance to win.
