Powerball:
A store clerk's error resulted in a Georgia player’s $25 million lottery win! Kathy Scruggs, 44, matched all of the winning numbers in the Sept. 14 Powerball drawing after trying to purchase a Mega Millions ticket.
"I asked for a Mega Millions ticket, and the lady gave me a Powerball ticket," she explained. "I just took it anyway. So I bought Powerball and Mega Millions."
Many congrats to this lucky lady on her good fortune!
Mega Millions:
3 lucky players matched 5 of the 6 white balls in the October 7th drawing and pocketed $250,000 each!
The Mega Millions estimated jackpot has reached $22 million with a $16 million dollar cash option. The next drawing will be held on October 11th, 2011.
Florida Lottery:
Carol Dixon, 70, of DeFuniak Springs, has claimed the $1 million MEGA MONEY™ jackpot from the September 30, 2011, drawing.
Another player, Stella Castro, 85, of Tampa, claimed the September 24 FANTASY 5® top prize of $262,409.73 at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
