The Florida Lottery announced on January 20th, 2010 that FLORIDA LOTTO winner Carolyn DeVore, 65, of Chiefland, claimed the January 16, $9 million jackpot!

DeVore chose the one-time, lump-sum payment for her winnings in the amount of 5,098,458.00. The winning FLORIDA LOTTO ticket was purchased from Winn-Dixie, located at 2200 N. Young Boulevard in Chiefland The retailer received a bonus incentive of $25,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket. A big shout of Congrats to this lucky lady!

Powerball:

The jackpot in America’s favorite lottery game continues to get bigger and bigger. Even though the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, a lucky ticket in Indiana matched all 5 white numbers with the Power Play and won $1 million cash! This was a result of the new Power Play feature that turns any match 5 white ball win with the Power Play into a 5X multiplier and pushes the prize up to $1 million! Two tickets from Kansas and Pennsylvania matched 5 white balls and won $200,000 cash each. In addition, 610,531 tickets across the nation won a total of $4,746,428 in prizes!

Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $76 million!

The cash option for the Wednesday, January 27th drawing will be an estimated $37.8 million.
