The Mega Millions jackpot continues to roll, with an estimated annuity of $344 million up for grabs in the December 10th drawing. While no one hit all six
winning numbers in Friday’s drawing, there were four individual tickets sold worth $1 million each. Winning $1 million tickets were sold in Illinois,
Michigan, Ohio and Washington.
This estimated jackpot of $344 million is the fourth largest prize in the history of Mega Millions, and the largest since the world record $656 million won
on March 30, 2012. The jackpot has been building since it was last won in Maryland on October 1.
Thomas Armstrong, an 83 year old retiree, waited more than a month to claim his winnings from the ticket that won him $479,070 in the draw on October 25 th Mega Millions drawing.
He said it was on his nightstand and he just didn’t get around to checking it. Bet he’s glad he did!
