The jackpot in America’s favorite lottery game continues to build. Even though the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, two lucky tickets in Pennsylvania matched all 5 white numbers with the Power Play and won $1 million cash each! This was a result of the Power Play feature that turns any match 5 white ball win with the Power Play into a 5X multiplier and pushes the prize up to $1 million!
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $90 million! The cash option for the Saturday, January 30th drawing will be an estimated $44.7 million.
Florida Lottery:
The Florida Lottery today announced that BILLION DOLLAR BLOCKBUSTER Scratch-Off winner Norberto Soberon, 60, of Miami claimed his $1 million prize at Florida Lottery headquarters. This marks the 21st winner to claim a $1 million prize in the Scratch-Off game; 99 $1 million prizes remain.
The Florida Lotto has reached a whopping $107 Million! The next drawing will be held Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010.
Mega Millions:
One ticket in the January 29th, 2010 Mega Millions drawing matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, which is estimated at $144 million. That ticket was bought in Katy, Texas. No additional details have been made available as of yet. Let’s hope this mega lucky player comes forward to claim their prize.
The Mega Millions estimated jackpot has reached a whopping $12 million and the next drawing will be held February 2nd, 2010.
California Lottery:
A lucky winner in Benicia has yet to claim a MEGA Millions prize worth well over three-quarters of a million dollars, a whole four months after the draw. The ticket, purchased for the September 29, 2009 draw, matched five of six numbers and is worth $796,804. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes. This ticket expires on March 29, 2010. Let’s hope this lucky player comes forward soon to claim their prize money!
