Powerball:
The jackpot in America’s favorite lottery game continues to grow. Even though the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, one lucky ticket in Kentucky and one another in Tennessee matched all 5 white numbers with the Power Play and won $1 million cash each! This was a result of the new Power Play feature that turns any match 5 white ball win with the Power Play into a 5X multiplier and pushes the prize up to $1 million! Big shout out of Congrats to these 2 lucky winners!
Also, in the Powerball Lotto News, because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $51 million!
Mega Millions:
Thirteen might be an unlucky number, but that wasn’t the case for the 13 lucky players who each matched 5 of the 6 lotto numbers on the January 15th, 2010 drawing and won $250,000 in cash and prizes!
The Mega Millions estimated jackpot has reached a whopping $86 million and the next drawing will be held January 19th, 2010.
Florida Lottery:
The Florida Lottery announced on January 7th, 2010 that the eighth and ninth $1 million HOLIDAY MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE winners, Randal Devine, 49, of Naples, and Jennifer O'Dell, 36, of Port Richey, both came forward to claim their prizes. In addition to the nine $1 million top prizes, the Lottery also awarded 10 prizes of $50,000, 15 prizes of $5,000 and 2,000 prizes of $250. Congrats to all of these very lucky players!
California Lottery:
Make Me a Millionaire," the California Lottery’s TV game show, awarded 12 lucky contestants a total of $135,000 in cash and prizes on this week’s show.
A lucky California Lottery player claimed his $646,916 prize on January 11th, 2010 in the Lottery’s Santa Fe Springs District Office. The lucky winner, who asked to remain anonymous – purchased the ticket on the way home from work and didn’t check it until after work the next day. When told by the clerk that someone had won big at that store, he checked his first few tickets and exclaimed “It wasn’t me!” After checking the last one, he happily discovered that he was the big winner. Congrats to this lucky gentleman!
